Octomom's father checks into rehab for 'alcohol addiction' at same facility as his troubled daughter

It appears Nadya 'Octomom' Suleman is not alone at rehab.
The mother-of-14's father, Ed Doud Suleman, is reportedly getting help at the very same treatment facility as his troubled daughter.
Doud, 71, is said to have checked into Chapman House Rehabilitation Center last week for 'alcohol addiction.'

According to TMZ, 'Ed's alcohol addiction goes back decades.' But he was reportedly inspired by his daughter to clean up his act.
Over the years Ed has been supportive of his daughter. After she gave birth to octuplets in 2009, he said he would return to his native Iraq to work as a translator and driver to financially support Nadya and her large brood.
As Mail Online previously reported, Suleman went to rehab last month, prompting a string of reports about her health.
On Thursday she set the record straight by releasing a statement from the treatment facility.

'I chose to seek treatment after consulting with my manager regarding my recent use of Xanax, which was prescribed by my physician for panic attacks,' Suleman said in a statement released to E! News.
She added: 'There were no other people involved with me entering treatment other than my manager and myself.

'There was no intervention that took place. I am working in therapy every day with my doctors and therapists regarding the origin of these attacks so as not to have to rely on medications to handle it.'

The 37-year-old also addressed reports that she was receiving treatment for free.
'I am paying for my own treatment; I am finding my voice here.'

While Octomom is separated from her family, she has reportedly employed a team of three nannies, and two friends to help look after her children - dividing up duties including transporting the massive brood to and from school.
Previously on the verge of bankruptcy, Octomom was facing homelessness after struggling with mortgage payments on her old house for 18 months.
But thanks to a pay-out from her recent adult film Octomom: Home Alone, Suleman was recently able to purchase a new property for her brood - a six bedroom, 5,000 square foot properly in Palmdale, California.

Following her initial stardom for being the mother of only the second set of octuplets to be born alive in the United States, Nadya made a living from media opportunities.

However she soon struggled to keep up with her £6,000 per month family costs.

In April she struck a lucrative five-figure deal with production company Wicked Pictures to make her adult film. She also owns half the movie - promising monthly royalty payments.
