He was left disappointed when his team crashed out of Euro 2012 after being beaten by Italy on Sunday.
So to cheer himself up Wayne Rooney and wife Coleen have jetted to Los Angeles to enjoyed some rest and relaxation.
The pair were spotted poolside at a luxury hotel in the city and certainly seemed to enjoying soaking up the good weather.

Coleen,26, showed off her trim shape in a small tribal print bikini as she lounged on a bed.
The couple were careful in the heat and were seen applying sunscreen in a liberal fashion.
While Coleen, who already boasts a dark tan, sprayed herself with oil, Wayne rubbed in cream.
Wayne, who is no doubt reeling from being kicked out of the competition, appeared restless and decided to take a dip in the pool.
