Linda Nolan admits she 'deeply regrets' putting career before starting a family as she applies to become a foster mother

She found fame as a popstar with her sisters in The Nolans and has played the coveted part of Mrs Johnstone in the hit musical Blood Brothers, but the success meant there was one role Linda Nolan missed out on playing - becoming a mother.
The 53-year-old has admitted she now 'deeply regrets' putting her career before having a family.
'I never had children of my own. It was my own fault. I put my career first and, in the end, it was too late. That's something I deeply regret,' she told The Lancashire and North West magazine.

'All children should feel that - I certainly did - but sadly, it's not the case for some.'
